Privacy Policy

We collect limited user information — including your name, email, learning progress, and usage data — to operate and improve the platform. When you submit an organization pilot request, we also collect the role, organization name, and number of learners you provide so we can follow up about access.

We use this information to provide account access, track course progress, issue certificates, support learners, respond to pilot and support requests, and improve product quality. We do not sell personal data.

Learners may close their account at any time from Settings, or by contacting the Skill Nation team. Closing an account is permanent: sign-in ends immediately, and any remaining paid access for that account ends immediately (unused paid time is forfeited). Purchases are non-refundable once access is provided, except for duplicate or erroneous charges, failure to provide the purchased access, or refunds required by law.

When you close your account we remove personal account information such as your credentials, profile details, preferences, notifications, and similar personal data. We do not keep a full personal account indefinitely.

For program reporting we may retain genuinely anonymized learning and completion statistics for up to 3 years after closure, then delete them. Those statistics are not linked to your account identifiers and cannot identify you.

Where there is a documented business need — in particular certificate reissue and historical enrollment or completion verification — we may retain a limited identifying record (including your verified name and completion details) for up to 3 years under our retention schedule. Internal student or certificate IDs may be used for verification; they are not printed in place of your name on a certificate. An internal ID that can still identify a learner is not treated as anonymous.

If the verifying name record needed for certificate reissue has already been deleted under the retention schedule, reissue requests are routed for manual review. We do not generate a certificate from anonymous statistics alone.

You may close your learner account from Settings, or request account closure by contacting the Skill Nation team. Staff accounts are managed through access deactivation rather than the learner closure flow.
